Hello to all of our readers. It’s with a heavy heart that I am letting everyone know that we here at True Blue Fans will be going off-line. It’s been a fun road but time constraints and other things are becoming an issue and we are unable to continue to provide you with your Colts news. We started this thing four years ago. When we started I wanted to become the top Colts blog out there. At the time we were competing against big dogs that had being the same things for years before we were even a thought. However we did our best to get out there and we were met with open arms and lots of praise. We were so happy to become part of the Colts Nation.
Over time we have been able to interview some great Colts players and give everyone a small peek into the personal lives of the guys that we love to watch on Sunday. We met some pretty incredible people along the way as well. We were lucky enough to have Jake Arthur (Pro Football Spot) get his footing with us before he was spring-boarded into where he is now. Jake has done great things with his talents and has been able to rise to a place where not many bloggers can get. We are honored to have worked with him during his time as a staff writer for TBF. We also were able to work with guys like Stephen Reed, Matt Danely and Brian North. All of these guys that I mention were the core of TBF over the past four years. They put in the time and effort to make sure our articles were interesting and fun to read. Matt has been able to land with other blogs and has continued to write, Stephen has become “semi-retired” but still does work for Stampede Blue and others from time to time. Brian has been with us for the past two years and has been a rock along side of me in continuing to build and it’s been a pleasure to have him with me every step of the way.
To all of our followers I want to say thank you on last time for everything you have done for us. You have shared our articles and you have been so encouraging to us. It’s going to be odd not doing a pre-game and post-game breakdown for you every week. It’s going to be weird to not have fun debates about what we had to say. There were arguments with you. Hell, even Brad Wells and I had it out for everyone to see a few times, not my finest moments either, but through it all you have stuck with us and continue to support something that we started out of the thin blue air one day in August of 2012. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for that. We wouldn’t have been anything without the readers and the followers who shared our work with everyone.
And finally I need to thank my co-founder for what she did to help me get this thing off the ground to where we were able to work with so many great people. My wife Cari was a big believer in this whole thing and has remained so even after stepping away from the editor position she held for the first two years. Without her support on the home front and keeping my spirits up I don’t think we would have taken off at all.
I’m aware that this isn’t a “stop the presses” moment for anyone. I felt the need to thank all of you one last time before we went off-line. Thank you once again and it’s been a privilege.
