Although nothing is official yet but the word was released yesterday that the Colts and Darius Butler have reached an agreement that will keep Butler here in Indy for a little while longer. The terms of the deal haven’t been released yet.
Butler has been a key piece of the Colts secondary since arriving here three years ago from New England. He is as solid of a nickel/slot corner that you’re going to find in the NFL with the ability to fill in at either starting cornerback positions when needed.
The Colts secondary is the best this city has seen in years. The #NoFlyZone has been keeping opposing quarterbacks and receivers from having breakout games, for the most part, and they play the very well. They aren’t quite Legion of Boom status but we can be proud of the secondary that the Colts and Ryan Grigson have put together here. Mike Adams is still on the market and is set to be an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday at 4pm. Word is that the Colts and Adams camp have been talking but haven’t struck a deal just yet. Adams has gone on record saying that he wants to come back and retire as a Colt. Don’t break up the #NoFlyZone Grigson.
